A Kids Career Handbook: (For Parents and Children)

My book was created to inspire parents to prepare their kids to learn about different careers at an early age. You will want to make it fun by sharing some of the stories of the professionals interviewed for this book. I believe children as young as five years old are open to learning about what they want to be when they grow up.

The experience I gained over the years as a Career Coach made me realize that the knowledge I share in this book is profound and will make a difference for kids. They have great imaginations.

By exploring the careers in this book, your child will be introduced to what careers are about. They will be able to envision themselves in one or more of these careers. I believe some of the core skills mentioned in this book are skills children are born with.

For the past 15 years, as the CEO of Career Ladders Inc, I have realized how significant the career development and resume writing business are in fulfilling a career goal. Having served over 3,000 clients, I realized how the core skills relate to careers because I would extract core skills from each client to build their character based on core skills within the context of resumes.

Additionally, I realized how many of my clients were unhappy with their careers because they didn't know how to determine a career goal before college. After many years of experience hearing how unhappy people were because they were not in the right career. I gained an excellent understanding of core skills and how they relate to a career. This book was created to help parents understand how to prepare their kids by instilling core skills early. It will lead their kids to create a great future based on what I share with both parents and kids. It is life-changing for the future of the next generation. By preparing kids in advance for a career based on core skills, a child's dream as an astronaut, firefighter, doctor, or scientist may be realized.

Inspirational Thoughts

When you show genuine support and interest in your child's career plans, make sure you allow them to discover who they are and what they want to be on their own. Don't make them feel that they will have to face your disapproval if they decide to choose a career path of their interest.

Don't impose your decisions on them. Your role is to help them sort their career and help them explore various professions they can choose from. Once they know it all, they will know their core skills and do their best. This way, you and your child will be on the same page, and you will explore the peak of your child's potential. Not only will you be happy for the choices they make, but they will be too, and that's a win-win!
